I read this piece of news this morning, a lady from Singapore got her nose disfigured, infested with germs or whatever all in the name of "cosmetic surgery" and I am sure despite the many reports of such incident, she will not be the last victim. There is no shame in wanting to look good, I am sure all of us would vouch that we want to look good, handsome, pretty and what not but before we embark on altering or modifying with the whatever assets that we already have,we must first of all, learn to appreciate whatever assets we already have.
I used to hate the two front teeth of mine, which are like obscurely protruding out of my mouth making them look like vampire fangs but now I feel so good about them cos they make me unique and special.
The essence of beauty should always come from within, whatever that lies without will never be sustainable no matter how many times we go under the knives to perfect, to remould or to re enhance it.
Sometimes it really scares the hell out of me,when I see those advertisements coaxing ladies to have their breast enlarged (what's wrong with A B cup),to sharpen their eye lids, lashes or whatever and to heighten their nose, I just wonder how many of those "cosmetic saloons" are operated by qualified "surgeons" , scary isn't it?
You know I have a few ladies friends,(in their late forties) who have gone through some kind of 'injection" on their face in the quest to bring back the youth and the funny part is they all look so
"mechanical" and lack of glow even it shines with the artificial "shine" and another funny part, all of them look so "alike" that you know that they have done something about their face already.
Lastly, don't ever go for "cosmetic surgery" just to please others, don't go for breast enlargement ,just because he likes C cup, don't go and pull the furrows on your wrinkled face, just because he thinks that you look so much older than he is. just be yourself.
Note : Have balance diet, stress control, exercise regularly, laugh a lot, drink a lot of water, come into association with good company and love God and drink some red wine and some beers and all this will make you beautiful........
Have a great weekend
P/S : When you love yourself, you are beautiful and when you want to alter yourself, that beauty is lost
Unless due to circumstance ,like accident dont even think about it. God has made you as a special individual. Don't try to meddle with his creation.
ReplyDeleteAhemm! I did eyebrow embroidary and permanent eyeliner, am not sure whether these are considered cosmetic surgery, but it was really a cosmetic touch up, I reckon. I am not against all these, as long as not too over.
ReplyDelete女为悦己者容.
I am always against any facial surgery like this... We should always be contented with what our parents gave us ;)
ReplyDeletePlastic surgery is always a NO for me... unless my health really requires me to under go for one.

Plastic surgery...em I scare of this also, scare of the side effect & pain. But recently I wish to go for laser treatment for my 15years+ dark eyes circle wor ... haha a non surgical treatment. I against those injection or refilling under my skin too.
ReplyDeleteEven though I hate wrinkles, eye bags and freckles, I am against plastic surgery because it makes the face so artificial. I have 2 neighbors who did a double eyelids surgery, but I somehow find them still look better with their original single eyelid.
ReplyDeleteJust look at Michael Jackson... That should be enough to scare anybody off. But then again, some people never learn. Vanity...
ReplyDeleteSay no to cosmetic surgery. I prefer to me myself.
ReplyDeleteDon't go changing......."I love you just the way you are"
ReplyDeleteA very nice post. Hope people read this, understand and learn to be comfortable with themselves :)
ReplyDeleteWiki: Rhinoplasty (nose job) is a plastic surgery procedure for correcting and reconstructing the form, restoring the functions, and aesthetically enhancing the nose, by resolving nasal trauma (blunt, penetrating, blast), congenital defect, respiratory impediment, and a failed primary rhinoplasty. So, she's going to have a second one I think.
ReplyDeleteI would recommend my friend go Korea and do what ever she want lol XD
ReplyDeletethats scary! to be truthful, I did thought of getting a rhinoplasty.. but never have the courage (and money). (I guess that saves me from this haha..)
ReplyDeleteI wish I have the confidence with my look like others have.
I like the red wine and the beer part....hahahahaha...Cheers!
ReplyDeleteMan this is scary... but I do want to have bracers though, is that okay?
ReplyDeleteUnless those who are disfigured due to acid attacks.. yes, it is not necessary to go for plastic surgery to please our partners...
ReplyDeletethe song by Billy Joel.. Just The Way You Are... is what we are..
It gave me lots of chuckle but have you ever realised even some body of high profile's wife also has her nose impaired? May be I am observant lol! Many instances, learnt many ladies have to stay on wheel chairs due to this type of operation and some even have passed on due to injuries!
ReplyDeleteGod has given us the best face or whatever body as you said, its still the best. But many wont learn!
Some Surgery are safe. But of course we are naturally beatiful.
ReplyDeletesometimes it is easier said than done ...
ReplyDeleteI also had vampire teeth and I extracted them both out!!
ReplyDeleteNah, the 2 roots were growing inwards and hurt my gums when I was a teen!
