He thinks he knows better than I do...

I was waiting to pick Jovial from school, usually this is the time,I hang around,chit-chatting with some school bus drivers just to while away the time... you know those school bus drivers are elder than I am,so it is always fun to talking to them and learning from them.

The place where we hang out, there will always be some students chilling out as well and something shocked me happened to me this afternoon when one of the school bus drivers was talking about China dolls, brothels and those so called manly stuffs then suddenly one teen about 17 or 18 years old interjected our conversation..................

He said," Uncle just now, you guys were talking about China dolls, right?" then he continued," Uncle, I can introduce you to one place, nice one, got China dolls, got Vietnamese girl and very cheap also" then I asked,

"Boy, how come you know so much?" with all his pomposity,he declared," Uncle, I just went there last night" I almost fell off my chair..............then I cautioned him," Boy, you better know, what you are doing okay? He sounded as if he was one of us,"uncles" he said," Uncle, no problem one la"

P/S : You may think it is absurd but it is happening and who is supposed to be teaching them?

  3. Reminds me of a short story - Taxi driver by Catherine Lim...how he happily makes his money by driving these young schoolgirls around to "sell themselves" and in the end, catches his own daughter doing that too...

  7. Teenagers talking about those stuff aren't good.

Older people talking about those places and girls also not good. And talking where passing young people can hear? tsk tsk

And where do you suppose that boy learn & become acquainted about them? Must be from someone older, right? :(

  13. OMG, I'm shocked to know that seemingly normal schoolboys can just openly share the fact that they know where-and-where and visit prostitutes without any sign of embarassment! OMG, I really don't know what to say about them.

  14. Eugene, I really concern about the kids nowaday. Their mentality and media/peer influence etc. Read few days ago about few boys (in their teens) raping a 7-yr old girl! How in the world they know all those things?? Gosh! What is happening. We really must address this issue or I am worry about the safety of my 2 young kids. Sigh!

  17. I was shocked too when I read the news a few days ago, a few 10 to 11 years old boys raped a 7 years old girl . They were caught at the end, as a result of showing off the scandal with their schoolmates later. Sick!
