The First Strand of Hair..............

This is the story of a first strand of hair...not just any kind of hair but that strand of hair that brought us so much laughter and fun to the family.........read on.

Jovial was excitedly telling me this,"papa, you see I've got the first dot of pimple surfacing on my armpit rather than on my face, how come?" I said son the time had come...................few hours later, while he was doing his home work.

Suddenly Jovial blurted out in the presence of the rest of the family," Papa and mommy, this Friday we must go celebrate already" i was like celebrating what? no particular reason to and we have been enjoying ourselves lately so money was to tight to mention.

With all his innocent giggles and laughter, he said,"papa papa, come i show you" I walked toward where he was sitting, he pulled down his pants and asked me this," Can see or not papa? can or not?" I said i could only see a patch of white barren skin near his"secret place" then not convinced he asked me to see closer, i said the same, then he walked to his mother and asking her the same thing.

Then my lovely wife said she could see a tiny microscopic strand of white hair, then Jovial was laughing out laugh and happy,"He ha, my first pubic hair came out already and Friday we can go celebrate already" and we were dumbfounded and we had good laugh.

Life is funny, when we are small, we can't wait to grow up but when we are grown up, how we wish we could stop the hand of time.

P/S : I am glad he shares his laughter and joy with us

  3. Muahahaha! It's a prompt action of him but cute one. You know, we parents always celebrate our babies' firsts - first roll-over, first tooth, first step, first birthday, etc.

Go, Eugene, go celebrate it tonight as Jovial has enters his manhood era.

  5. lol..im quite envy your son's open-ness in showing off his 'first strand of hair' at the same time quite hilarrious to know that he joke about it. very creative of him.

i was on the note, persuaded my 13year old son to show his 'first strand of hair' to me. his younger brother told me about the 'hair' so i make him to proof it to me (of coz with lotsa persuasion).

once i saw it with my own eye, i was dumb founded instead. i have mixed feelings (happy and sad). happy to know that my boy is embarking to manhood, sad coz i'll be missing my baby. time does really fly and yes perhaps i'll bring my son for celebration once he lost his voice. :)

  6. That was one great hair raising experience from Jovial haha.

Just thought of the broom story and child labour. After a few months working in a broom factory one little girl wanted to resign coz there is sign the broom is starting to grow on her body. The supervisor tried to persuade her to stay and brought her into his room hope to 'educate' her, stripped his pants to show her its the work of nature. She was aghast and cried "You are even worst than me even the broom stick has grown on you"...~;).
