Thank you whoever you are...............

I was at the parking machine at the shopping mall yesterday, all i had in my wallet were only 10 ringgit notes, unfortunately enough the machine could not accept note at that particular time, i felt so bad because was hogging the line, when i kept inserting the note again and again.

There were these two ladies down the queue, sensing my helplessness, suddenly one of them came up to me and extended some coins amounted to one ringgit and passed them over to them and told me to try to insert the coins instead.

I did just that, using her coins and finally my parking ticket was dispensed, in return i said thank you to the lady and told her i didn't have a dollar note to return to her, asked her if she had the change of 10 ringgit instead.

Without any hesistation, she told me it was ok, i was feeling kind of lost at her generosity and help and with much appreciation i thanked her profusely and jokingly i said to her, if there was ever a chance that i'd see her again, i'd pay her parking ticket in return.

Why am i blogging about this ? you may ask after all it was only just a dollar of coins, no big deal but to me it gave me such a good feeling, in my time of "distress" there was someone who extended her help even in the most insignificant amount.

I always believe sometimes a little gesture of ours will bring so much joy to others, for example when you give the little extra change to that parking attendant, i am sure he will feel like how i felt yesterday..... so go on do a little extra for others.

Note : To you whoever you are, if you happened to read this blog, i thank you for your one dollar coins, it gave me joy throughout the remaining of my yesterday.

P/S : The world is not so cold after all, if you just extend a little warmth

  1. You are right that if everyone can do a little thing for others, the world ain't so cold. Allow me to add another point, if everyone can be as grateful as you, the world ain't so bad.

  8. It probably made the lady feel good too for extending her gesture!! Not many nice people in the world these days. I got approached by a woman once who offered to push my shopping trolley because I had one baby in a pouch and the other in the trolley but I was so weary she was going to rob me blind!!..(I watch too much criminal minds!!)..or she may have had lesbian tendencies...who knows!

  11. A lesson learnt, don't go to the parking machine with 10 ringgit note. Prepare 10 notes of 1 ringgit ;)

  13. Ya apart from cold side of the world still have a piece of warm there. It's so good to have someone to help you when we are in trouble.

Last few week when my car broke down in the middle of traffic light due to the old alternator, few guys came over and help me push my car to the side. Big thank you to them.
