Burn the Quran day..............

When i read about it on the internet about " Burn the Quran day" to mark the 911 ninth anniversary, it really sent chill down to my spine, what if this mission of "Burn the Quran day" came to pass, what would be the retaliation hence-forth.

Let us sincerely pray that this day would not be materialized, hence it will save us from more man's ill intended disasters.

911 is and forever will be a painful history for all mankind that we shall never forget, those who died were from different faiths, and some i believed even shared the faith as the perpetrators.

What is the difference between the one who initiated this outrageous campaign to that of 911's perpetrators, no difference for they have all lost the fundamental teachings of one's religion that's to have compassion and forgiveness for you and me.

Just last week, i went to see a Muslim friend of mine whose office was situated next to the State Mosque, gingerly i asked him if it was all right for a Christian like me to enter into his place of worship, without hesitation he said ok to me.

As he was taking me into his place of worship, i could see many of his brethrens looking at me and some of them even giving me a warm smile, that's when i thought there was really no problem of us even with our differences to co-exist as long as we learn to respect one another.

But the reality can sometimes be so cruel and starkly opposite than what we hope for, isn't it? we all know that all religions are good but then again...........it is akin to a good car but sadly it is sometimes driven by bad drivers who go against all traffic rules.

I respect and love you guys even with all the differences and to my Muslim friends and readers, here wishing you " Selamat Hari Raya. Maaf Zahir dan Batin" and let us spread more love.

P/S : The distinction between you and me is simply we are different , therfore there is no distinction at all.

  2. i agree with you, no point of burning the quran/bible/ or any otehr medium, it wont help. we need to understand one-another.

i studied in chinese school from kind till form5, they treat me like one of them... strangely my relative (those days) thought my dad was wacko for doing that becos of the diffrences (somemore the 13may issue)... but my sibling & me prove them wrong. we can co-exist together.

even in office, during any event, my event agency are all TRAINED make sure no pork & beef (change it to lamb) and one dish MUST be vegetarian... must hv noodle & rice, spicy and non-spicy... so far (touch wood) my co's cust all happy for us being sensitive. very very very crucial.

btw, strangely i receive many cny & xmas & deepavali cards only 2-3 raya cards... am sooo muhibbah that they forgot which race i fall into. ahhahaha....

  3. When will this madness end? In the Bible, God says: what you do to the least of your brothers, you do unto Me!!! What goes around, comes around... Keep the peace and spread the love.

  4. I really wish the world is a much simpler place. Where there be no huge differences between one another. Muslim or Christian. Chinese or India. We are all merely human but faith set us apart. Respect is what brings us closer.

  5. There are people in this world like to ignite a spark in religion issue. They seems to be forgotten how to be respectful anymore.

  6. Can't help agreeing with you! Burning the Quran or Bible or cross or whatever will not settle the difference. Let difference be difference. I respect you, you respect me. Simple.

  7. Media is just creating sensationalism out of this story. The church has less than 50 members, and look at the impact a news like this created, in the current times. Imagine if this was 20 years ago, nobody would've given a f**k.

As much as I think this pastor is a dunguloid of the highest order, the media is equally to be blamed for fanning such nonsense.

  8. Completely agree with you - what's the point of burning the quran? I think everyone needs to be educated better towards another religion. You have a good long holiday ahead Eugene.

sometimes human can act worse than an animal, seriously.

  11. As long as there are people, there will be drama :P

It's hard, but it would be good if we can all focus on the good side of everything and embraces our difference. Only then can we be equal

  14. i like what you said abt religion being akin to a good car, but if used and misintepretated, is like driven by bad drivers... however i think now i am afraid to enter a mosque even with a friend.

  15. Some people doesn't think rationally. A very silly act of burning the Quran. If they want to gain some respect from others, please show your respect! Eugene have a nice day...take care ya

  17. It was reported that Obama can't do anything about it as the US Constitution guarantees the freedom of speech. What crap! Now we know why the Malaysian govt. controls freedom of speech.

Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom to create chaos by saying stupid things that offend others. That's blatant abuse of that freedom.

They may be small in numbers but the damage could be catastrophic - no thanks to the media too.

    Cheers!
