It was a beautiful Sunday, went down swimming with my lovely wife, she came back wanted to prepare lunch, then she reminded that i had still not fixed the faultiy light bulb in the kitchen, hurriedly i climbed un the ladder then all of the sudden.........
The hemishpere shaped glass light bulb cover came crashing down, it hit the ladder, shattered and the motherly instinct of my lovely wife wanting to divert the crashing glass cover from hurting Jovial, she extended her hand to pose a cover for Jovial, suddenly.
She was crying in panic as blood came oozing from my lovely wife's left hand, it was a scary scene, Jovial vomitted looking at his mother oozing with blood and in pain. I rushed her to a nearby clinic, sadly the doctor said the injury was so severe that he had to refer my lovely wife to the hospital.
I called my good friend Richard, asking him to buy lunch for my children as i rushed my lovley wife to the hospital, the Medical Officer at the ER (Emergency Room) suggested that he too had to refer to a sergeon for once again the injury was bad and he was afraid that the tendon inside my lovely wife's hand could have been cut deep.
The conclusion. my lovely wife was served with over 15 stitches and the tendon was 80 % severed, and she was asked to admit for observation, and I pleaded with the staff nurse to let my lovely go back for a good rest and come back the next day, she conceded.
Despite this ominious event, i am still thankful to God for the cuts were on my lovely wife's hand and not the face and thank God as well for my Jovial who took the initiative to clean up the kitchen which was floored with blood..( i am proud of you Jovial)
My wife will be on a week or two medical leave, and once again I am thankful..........it always breaks my heart when i see anyone of my family members in pain..............
P/S : Please dont take safety for granted.........................
Thank goodness...nothing else happened. :(
