Ok, I am not a hypocrite, i am a Christian and i enjoy drinking (i mean beers), the fact is i have cut down a lot but then again since the start of world cup, i have kind of turned into a fastidious drinker........ die lah.
When there are matches played in the slot of 7.30 pm and 10.00 pm respectively, i will go to my normal coffeshop with my lovely wife and just the two of us, we will have our drinks and enjoy the games.
Last night we did the same then suddenly i realized that besides getting excited watching the shows, i have spent quite a sum in drinking. You see, men can be full of excuses and ego, most of the times we will come up with 100 or more reasons to justify our actions rightly or wrongly.(have you ever heard of any football players hollering out to the referee, "please get me red recarded, i was wrong"), same thing goes to me, how many times i told myself, why must i always blend in drinking with watching world cup.I really dont know.
I woke up this morning, the same excuses i gave myself, today being friday(my happiest day of the week), today's games are so exciting and moreover it is still a school holiday, the children can be on their own doing their stuff and me and my lovely can have our times together drinking and watching world cup..... how lame.
Ok, enough said, thank God, the school shall be reopen soon and i will not trade my time with my children to spending time outside drinking watching world cup.
Happy weekend folks

ReplyDeleteGood. Sometimes we have to sacrifice for our kids... Can always see the difference between children of parents who do that...and children of those who do not. The love and care and the bonding make a world of difference.

ReplyDeleteits not prohibited to drink beer or any alcohol drink, the rule is, you must not get drunk, out of control and being unable to be aware of whats going on around. back in those days they drank wine for every occasion, He even turn water into wine :D You can ask, drinking is okay as long as it doesnt cause you to do harm to yourself or other people =) Enjoy the world Cup :D
