There goes my wife's SK II......sigh

To start off,let me share this conversation between me and my coffee cum breadfast buddy...Wei is his name

Wei," Wah, Eugene when are you going to get your commission?"
Me , " What commission,?"
Wei," I bought the Toyota Estima from the car dealer that you recommended, sure the boss will give you commission one lah, right?" then few of other coffee buddies chipped in by saying," ho seh liao, ask Eugene to treat us beer, the commission must be at least RM 1,000."

By then i remember i did tell the boss of the car dealer that i'd introduced my friend to get the car from him, and to be frank i was brimmed with joy because i knew with that extra windfall the first thing that i wanted to do was to buy my lovely wife her second bottle of SK II,神奇水,which cost about RM328.

After a week, i didn't hear any news of the commission, actually i thought that the boss was busy thus he forgot about it, then as i further discovered i was told by a source that i was not entitled to the commission because my friend did not post my name while buying the car to the car dealer.( i thought the boss remembered that i told him). anyway after showing some of my dissatisfaction and my argument to defend my case, i was once again told that the boss would issue me a RM500 cheque, to be very frank i was not too happy about the news, not because of the amount but it was about the issue of sincerity.

When i finally got the cheque of RM500, i took a look at it and i was not at all pleased, immediately i wanted to return the cheque to the boss of the car dealer, but my wife stopped at that saying something is better than nothing.

"something is better than nothing" is the statement i loathe the most, i believe i deserved to be rewarded in the most genuine manner, and not in the sense of making feel as if i was begging for it or take it as if it was "something is better than nothing" then i told my wife i insisted that i wanted to return the cheque and i was gladful to my wife for she understood certain principals i uphold and it was really not "something is better than nothing"

When i sat in my friend's brand new Toyota Estima the other day, i felt bad that i should have taken the RM 5oo and bought the SK II 神奇水 for my lovely wife but then again i knew my lovely wife understood me better.

Note : dont worry dear, i will still buy you the SK II 神奇水 even the commission has evaporated into thin air, this i promise you.

P/S : Sincerity counts even if it is about giving.

  5. I always convince myself that"something is better than nothing", but than again I was not happy cos promise is promise! NOT SOMETHING! And when i insist what i should get, ppl will think that i m too calculative and give me some special nick name....

well, in your case, i believe this will be your final time for introducing customer to the dealer.

  17. ya sometimes it's a matter of principle. Recommend jor so should be entitled to the commission and not have to "beg" for it

My fren punya lagi cham. Her commission was instructed by the boss to put into staffs fund. But later another fella took over, her commission were distributed to others staffs and she and her staffs got most little amount. Kesian her

  19. I would have done the same too. "Nothing is better than something" when it comes to a breach of principal.

Is SK II's "miracle water" that good? I tried one bottle and will never buy it again. Darn expensive and no effect at all haha...

But I am sure she is happy to receive her SKII from you. Lucky wife! :p The most my hubby gave me is perfume. I bored of receiving same presents. hahah!

  24. Yeah, fight for your cause bro. It's for principle not $$$..

  25. I think you did the right thing Eugene. I would have returned the check too. It's a matter of principle. The dealership friend did a dishonorable thing and you had to remind and asked him for the commission only to be told you were not entitled for it and then probably out of guilty conscience, he sent you a check so you can refer more clients to him. Well, hope your friend gets the message when he received the return check.
