I am trying

Since i'd made a decision of going back to the church after a long hiatus, it was a decision made with my own self conviction and committment, and with that decision coming along, i guess there shall be or will be some changes in my ways of life of which in my opinion is imperative.

As i shared with my wife about my intention, she was kind of shocked about hearing it and she asked why the change after all these years, that's something i could not really relate to her and i am sure she was kind of dissappointed with my non compliance to her inquiry, but i told her it was really my personal experience with the Man Above.

Looks like now, i have to readjust my ways of live as much and as possible to the teaching of my faith, and that inevitably involves my whole family as well. Take for example, my drinking pleasure will have to be diminished drastically, and there's something that requires the hardest part of me.

I believe with love and with HIS help things will change to be better for the rest of my family and that i will be a testimony to HIS love.

P/S : I will keep trying................

  2. it does not say that Christians cannot drink. I believe you have full control of ur drinking habits n u dont get drunk n such... drink moderately, having a good time is ok.

Take small steps at a time. if u cant get back to church yet, try those small groups..some call it SG or CG groups....

  5. Yes...God will always be there through thick and thin...and God loves sinners. As Claire says, we're not saints or angels...and everybody sins all the time. Most important - we try to be good and be true Christians...as far as we can.

  6. Good on you, Eugene. Build on a solid foundation.

"So why do you keep calling me 'Lord, Lord!' when you don't do what I say? I will show you what it's like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then follows it. It is like a person building a house who digs deeps and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against the house, it stands firm because it is well built. But anyone who hears and doesn't obey is like a person who builds a house without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will collapse into a heap of ruins." ~ Luke 6:46-49

  13. Going back to church? Something happened that made you go back? Whatever it is, all the best to you but I believe God does not judge anyone, so to me there is no such thing as Judgment Day.

I believe in the consequences of our actions (also known as karma) - well, that's my personal belief and I am a Christian.

Happy CNY to you and family!! : )

  14. It's your faith and belief that God has touched your heart. Faith is believed what you have not seen.

Praise The Lord! You are going back to church.

Isn't wonderful to be in the house of the Lord and worshipping Him?
