Sometimes I am scared and we all should be....

I was sharing with my friends the other day about how worry I was every time when my lovely wife had to go for business dinners and what would usually follow would be some 'drinking sessions", I told my my friends that I would not have a good sleep even if she told me she would be late and telling me what time she would head home.

You know it gets me confused on one hand the gomen telling us that the crime rate had dropped by so much and so much but on the other hand,we keep hearing newspaper reports almost on a daily basis about street crimes, break ins, snatch thieves and loads more.

I have this habit of telling my lovely wife that(if she goes out for dinners)she has to phone me when she is about to leave and as for me, I would call her intermittently to check her actual location.

Accordingly to our minister in the prime minister department,Idris Jala stating that even the most common crime of snatch thieves has come down by 39 %,I really don't want to argue about this but no matter what figures of improvement the gomen telling us,can we really be convinced that We Are Safe, as for now I just can't.

P/S : Just don't take safety for granted

  1. did you see a report saying our Country is in the top few safest country to live? For goodness, I wonder where they got the number from.. oh yes, it did explain that we do not have the 'terrorist' attack like other.. but they did not mentioned that we have 'local' attackers instead!

    1. Ya, seriously is the report true? =_=

Now even a small town is no longer safe, not to mention bigger city like KL...

  2. I do not believe in those statistics at all!
I hardly drive alone at night, not only my hubby will be worried, I feel insecure too.
Can't imagine how worried I will be after my kids get their driving license next time.
This country is getting very unsafe.

  3. Well, crime rate decrease? I dun give a damn about it man.

Because, crime rate would never decrease but increase.

For me, my dad always tell me: "there is no safe place in this city, you just need to hope that the thief don't take an eye on you."

Well all I need to do is pray.

You can always try to take care of your wife safety, probably without telling her. Or tell her is the best choice, you should.

  4. worrying and fear is not from God.,, we should pray for our family all the time that the Lord may guide and protect them whenever they go

  6. Crime rate decreased by 39% means we still have high crime rates!

I worry as much as you and I guess that's what husbands are for.

  7. It can never be safe no matter what the media says.. this fear is making us paranoid at times..
Yeah, just pray for safety and protection whenever we go out...

  8. Bro..you are not alone. I have the same fear everything Cat comes back late. I would always have her called me the moment she leaves and the time she safely gets into the car. I will go berserk if she fails to do that (and at times she does). What really drives me totally crazy because I will be worry sick was I tried to call her and can't get through and she say handphone no battery....

  9. That's so true. We must not take safety for granted. Always be aware and always be careful.

  10. We are safe in term of low terrorism. But unsafe in term of high nation criminal cases.

  12. Crime rate has gone down??? In fact I think petty crime has become more violent. A bunch of Malaysians have started a crime watch group on Facebook as an outlet for victims or friends of victims to relay their own personal accounts to warn others. Search for Crime Watch Malaysia on Facebook, read their stories & judge for yourself.
