When i was sad

I was so sad when I heard that one of my classmates of 37 years, had his work shop cum shop cum warehouse totally gutted by fire on last friday night at about 11 PM, I called him the next day,he said ............"what to do"(my dear friend aka the victim, was so helpless in seeing his 20 years' of effort went up in smoke just like that, when a tough man cries, you know it hurts)

I immediately called up the other classmate of mine (GS Lim) who was kind enough to call up other classmates to pool our resourches together to see how we could extend our help to our fellow classmate of 37 years old.The victim, my dear classmate of mine, toiled his way, eventually estabalished himself as a renovation "Tau Keh" or boss had all that he had been toiling or striving for vanished by a mercilessly fire in less than one hour on last friday night .

Life is like that, isn't it ?,,,,,,,,,,,,, we are never prepared for the worst case scenario and it is on and during this time that we need to depend on the God Almighty,,,,when we are so helpless..

I am also glad that as friend, I could be a bit of help and so were the rest of my classmates of
37 years old.

P/S : Let us depend on HIM

I hope the shop cum warehouse is covered amply by insurance so that his losses won't be so bad.

  5. hope that the losses will be much covered by the insurance company. Then again, it would take some time for your friend to rebuild the shop and mend and patch everything due to the fire damage...life's like that.

  11. Sorry to hear that... he is so blessed to have a friend such as yourself. And yes, I agree that at our lowest times, we look to God longingly...if only we can do that every single day right? :P well, human is not perfect, otherwise we'll glorify ourselves rather than giving Him all the glory :D God bless, eugene!

  13. Oh dear, so sorry for your friend. Life changes after a catastrophic event like this but with time and a friend like you (and the others), your friend's life will be a lot more bearable (at the moment, at least), I'm sure. YOU are a good person, Eugene.

Life is unpredictable and can bring us to unfortunate moments at times. But these testing times also bring forth true friends and well-wishers. I am happy to hear that all of you did your bit to help him. Praying that he recovers soon!
