I was telling Marvell the other day that we needed to spend more time together as family, what more now that they are (my two boys) growing up fast, I told him that in no time he and his brother will outgrow the papa,by then I will miss fooling around with them by then.
So I came up with the idea of picking one day over the weekend, just the four of us spending time together doing something fun.
And we decided to make Monopoly playing a "must do" for the entire family at least once a week, the house rule, there is.
I bought this new set of Monopoly board game chosen by my Jovial, never knew that Monopoly can be so "canggih" just look at the pictures shared here and I bet if you have not played monopoly for a long time now,you will be surprised how this thing has evolved.
When was the last time you played a board game? Hey.........Have a great weekend and God Bless
P/S : I bet my boys will outgrow me in no time

ReplyDeleteSo canggih your set. Too bad I already have a set at home. The one with the red and green houses and hotels. So boring compared to this!
It was about 15 years ago that I last played this game. It was before I got married. It looks realy changgih now. I guess I need to read the manual all over again before I dare take the challenge.
ReplyDeleteThe game sure have changed. so different from the one I played eon years ago.
ReplyDeletegood to have family time together. hope you guys will have a blast time together.
Yes, agree, better enjoy the moments doing things together becos they grow up and start to have their own life. Wah...agree, didn't know Monopoly nowadays so canggih one, got miniature buildings some more! Last time I played Monopoly was during my upper primary school and that also was the ancient version that I digged out from my Grandma's house, but now I don't know where that set has gone too. Somewhere last year, I did buy a new Monopoly set too for future playing, but till now has not opened it yet becos I'm very sure my son is going to mess up the set and cause the small-small things to go missing! Will till he's older first, then only do the 'opening ceremony'. ^_^
ReplyDeleteWOW! That's so advanced now! I don't even remember when I played it last. :(
ReplyDeleteIt's a great idea to do something fun together as a family.
Half a lifetime I guess. Wow look at the changes over time which monopoly also would not want to lose out to 3D/4D movies. Once a week will be fun, not only the togetherness you are training them to be the next Penang tycoon.
ReplyDeletePlaying Monopoly is so addictive. We have it too, and played it with our Son but not so lately. Must dust off the cover and bond with family with the board game. :)
ReplyDeletereally cannot remember when i last played monopoly..so long ago! now just reminded me of those 5 in 1 or 6 in 1 games that i played..they have chinese checkers, snake and ladder..etc. I also remember during my school days, played a lot of this "game watch"
ReplyDeleteWow! What an upgrade! What I have is still the single storey houses/huts. LOL! I hear there is the Malaysia version too with streets in downtown KL.
ReplyDeleteMy fav boardgame is still Scrabble. My deluxe set with the turntable badly needs some play-time. :(
Great about your allocating family-bonding time. Memories are made of these.
I miss board game a lot since nowadays technology getting more advanced, where by everything is virtual all in our hand palms and on finger tips.
ReplyDeleteChildren nowadays didn't really enjoy the olden days board games must more a lot fun sitting together in a group playing sound more fun, laughing, joking and chit-chatting around.
