I was at a commercial district last week, standing outside a bank, waiting for a customer to do lunch together. I've always have this habit of arriving at the mentioned venue 15 minutes prior to any appointments, so i did just that.
I did what most men would do (Ok, i said most men, not all men) looking at those beautiful office ladies passing by to kill my time of waiting. Suddenly, a nicely attired man walking up to me, presented a smile at me and spoke something like this in Mandarin,"老板,要买 CD 吗?"Boss, do you want to buy CDs ?"I acted nonchalantly towards his proposal, sensing my disinterest, he was quick to pique my attention and drawing me to his dubious looking "branded" small clutch bag, and he did cause my attention.
I was thinking there was no way this guy could deposit so many CDs in that little clutch bag if he was serious of selling CDs and to be very frank i have never come across anyone peddling illegal Cds looking this decent with however dubious "branded" little clutch bag could be.
So i turned at him began to ask, just to satisfy my curiosity,“What kind of CDs do you have?, drama series or blockbusters? he was quick to answer me in Mandarin," Boss i don't sell this kind of CDs? Then he ditched into his little clutch bag took out a little album and with big grin on his face, showed me something and said something like this, " Boss, my CDs is China Dolls, look at this photos."
Frankly speaking i took few glimpses at those photos and he taught that i was interested and quickly passed me a shabbily printed name card with phone number on it. I said no to him and just in time my customer called out to me. Ditto.
Lately i heard there have been many raids on the brothels, karaoke joints which doubling up as prostitution dens and those enterprising genius just know how to resort to good marketing strategies.
P/S : Looks like devils are ubiquitous
Well...vice ring...we should smash them! :D
ReplyDeleteOooo...they have that in Penang too? I thought that's only in KL - Bukit Bintang... Lots of such pimps!!!

Agree with STP, thought only KL has a lot of this. Penang also like that ah? Frankly speaking, I don't really like my husband goes KL alone nowadays. This business only make women worry.
ReplyDeleteTekkaus : good smash them quick
ReplyDeleteSTP : I think now is rather rampant, cos a CD influx high, raids

ReplyDeleteWah, these pimps also know how to change their strategy of doing business. Business is slowing down? Hahaha...
