If this dog could speak.....

I am not a dog owner and i certainly don't know much about dogs either but i do know that there are many fashion accessories for canines, i just happened to bumped into one as far as i am concerned, i regard it as outrageous.

Last saturday, went breadfasting with my lovely wife, i was awestruck with what i saw a dog with like i said an outrageous fashion accessories, i don't know how to call it, a decorated dog collar, a noose of beauty or simply "my owner suffocating me" fashion gear.

At that time, i could feel that dog was not comfortable at all with what was noosed around its neck, it was like so lifeless and i really feel that the owner should not have decorated this dog with such fashion.

Please forgive me, i really don't know about dogs but do we have to over zealously decorate our dogs in such fashion, may be if the dog could speak, "please get that collar" out of my neck.

We human, sometimes would feel uneasy with certain fashion"add ons" but we always have the liberty to them off if we feel uncomfortable, right? What about the dogs ?

I have seen dogs being clothed thickly with so called doggy clothes under punishing heat and dogs being put inside a small dog cradle...........................

Disclamer :This post is only the expression of what i thought of dogs and i am not here to judge.

P/S : Dogs are man's best friends but are we their best friends as well ?

  1. Eugene I think you got it wrong. Haha that collar is not actually a 'fashion'. its a protective collar. it to prevent the animal from biting or licking at its body or scratching at its head or neck while wounds or injuries heal. :D

  2. Don't quote me on this. But I think that collar is to refrain him from biting or something.

  3. hehehe..bro..no worries, that poor doggy might had some little surgery on the neck or something wrong around his head-neck areas to prevent him from scratching or biting it (my kitty used to have one after her mumps surgery on her cheek). it will be taken off as soon as the doggy is healed. =)

  4. I'm a die heart dog lover, and I personally think all dogs to be free to wear anything they like, which is to wear nothing at all, kiahahahaha!

    Have a great weekend!

  7. Cruelty! Last time, old people used to hang MILO tins around the necks of dogs that would go and chase after and kill the chickens...but that was as punishment and to prevent them from doing such bad things!! Tsk! Tsk!

  9. Hmm, I can see that the dog is uncomfortable with the thing also..
Some pet owners just like to decorate their pets, as long as they like =_=

  10. Some they dress their pets with excessive clothes and acc. If I'm the dog, definitely I will feel the discomfort too. I thought of asking the pet owner to wear it and see how they feel like? Hahaha...

  11. That collar reminds me of what I saw in Disney's UP. The mean master punishes his dogs by wearing them this collar.... But after reading others' comments, I got to know it is a protective coller :)

I'm not sure how dogs feel about fashion, but clearly they are being "pampered" with luxurious items.

  13. Now I understand what the dog's coller for. Thought it was a fashion accessory.

It does look uncomfortable on the dog, though.

  14. Of cos that is a protection collar and it definitely is not comfy. But what a poor owner can do to protect her dog rite? And the clothes, i think it is meant to protect the dog from scratching the wound too. Although it is common for owner to dress up their pet too, but imho, most would take into consideration the comfort level if it is just meant for deco. So.. if the dog could speak, I think she would say she love her owner :D

  16. Agree with Daniel. The collar is a protective collar. Vets will put for the dogs and cats if they have wounds
