Term of Endearment.............

A friend of mine pointing something out to me of which i never realized it myself, this friend has been so called following my blog for sometimes now and she told me she had been noticing a habitual term of endearments that i always used toward my lovely wife and my two wonderful children..............

She asked me did i know what they were(term of endearment), and i was confused, then she told me that i always used the word "lovely" wife and "wonderful" children and when she wrote these two words while we were MSNing then only i realized that indeed i had been endearing my lovely wife and my two wonderful children in such manner.

She then asked me why did i do it in such fashion, i told her i really didn't know why i habitually used those terms, but deep inside me i knew indeed my lovely wife was always lovely and my two wonderful boys were indeed wonderful hence it came just as naturally as the calls from my heart to manifest those term of endearments.

My family is the closest thing to me next to God, if i don't edify, uphold, enrich and fondly speak nice words about my family then i am not good a husband and father, this is solely my opinion.

Just to digress a little here, the other day my lil one Marvell said something to me which brought so much joy to me, he said this in Mandarin," 爸爸,我有病了(papa, i have got a sickness already)" curiously i asked him what sickness did he have, cheekily he said this to me," 我中了快乐病 ( i have got sickness for being too happy).

What's your term of endearment to be?

Happy Friday guys chill

  3. I agree, I always addressed my 2girls as my princesses, as they are really my princesses. I also believe in this, if you think you are happy, you will be happy, if you think you are fat, you will be fat. So, I have to stop thinking I am fat now. :)

  10. Hmm... I never call my husband by name... I called him sweetheart. But I never ever referred him as wonderful, loving or whatnot. I feel abit strange doing that. Hahahah... those are for bedroom use only, to me. LOL...When I write, I usually refer him as my 'shark' cuz he's always hungry? LOLOL!

I dun think my husband ever refer me as lovely or beautiful too. *frowns* I guess.... we're not that poetic after all.

  12. It's well known that Asians are more reserved when it comes to saying mushy words to their loved-ones as compared to the Westerners. You're juz ahead of the pack! ;)

  14. many times i referred my 2 sons as chimps or monkies and my wife many times referred me as old baboon but frankly speaking,i don't think i look that bad,eh? or may be becoz my sons are chimps, then the father must be an older chimp,a baboon(Graffiti)for eg.during my younger days,i really attracts quite a numbers of ladies or women, not now ...probably due to male menopause(got such thing or not,i wonder..) anyway,i like to convey a msg to cleffairy,:even if your hubby never refer you as beautiful ,some men actually keeps a secret and never reveals to any soul and somehow, will always shower you with a love so beautiful .

  17. I think you're very affectionate towards your family which is why you write them so lovingly. Some people write as they think and you're one of them. As for me, I refer to my kids 'precious'. Sometimes my family will get confused as to which child I'm referring to.

  18. Happiness is also contained in our saying, so anyone who knows to use lovely words for their close persons, becomes a happy one.
