Remembering Surin.........

Sometimes i wonder why, why we really dont celebrate Teacher's day the way we do about other celebrated Days, i think we must and we should really have some thoughts for our beloved Teachers.

As far as i am concerned, one teacher that i will never forget is my form 2 English teacher Mr Surin, he was the one who encouraged and motivated me to do well in my English. Coming from the Chinese medium school through and through, my English was my most feared subject untill Mr Surin came and thought me English in Secondary 2.

I remember vividly, right up untill secondary 1, i could not even distinguish the usage of all the tenses, lest form a proper sentence, my English test results were always in the red, the best result i could garner back then was only 40 +.

I was fortunate enough to have Mr Surin teaching me English, i remember he would single me out and called me to him and give me some canning for the mistakes i made, he would continue to do that untill i did not repeat the same mistakes.

At that time, i was telling myself, here i was having this Mr Surin making the hell out of me, i then made a pact with myself, i resolved to do well in my English, not just well but i strived to be the best in my class and in my school.

With Mr Surin's dedication and encouragement, slowly and surely my English standard rocketed to the level higher than i could not believe i could do it. Back then, i was always the top top top (hahahahaha) in my class even in school as far as English subject was concerned.

Happy Teacher Day albeit a day late,,, Thank you Mr Surin, hope you can stumble upon my blog and hope i have made you proud.....i came from Chung Hwa Secondary and you were there teaching me.

Note : Which teacher had made impact in your school life?

P/S : Something the little that we do, could be so big in its impact

  9. I still keep in touch with one of my teacher. She taught me Kemahiran Hidup in form 3, and we're still in touch with each other. Ahahaha, and she's coming to KL end of this month, and told me she's bringing me some cheesecake that she made herself. LOL...(my fav!)

I'm all grown up now and yet she still treat me like a lil kid. *wide grin*

I was quite a teacher's pet...and I bugged my teachers even after I left school.

ps: Most teachers loves me...except for maths teachers. I flunk maths all the time and they hate me for that. :(

  11. I like Ah Tuan( we never address him as teacher simply bacause he worked part time at my school), my math was sucked( around 60-70+) thus I used to hate maths!

This guy really "revive" my interest in maths, from grade C to A+! I'm so so thankful to him!

Happy Teachers Day! You are the best for our future!

  12. Mine would be Puan Norhayati for English. She has a soothing accent; toned down British but precise nevertheless.
