Something i heard that really sent the shivers down to my 44 years old spine just now about 12.30 pm, i really want t share with you guys and i could not believe what i heard coming from a bunch of teenagers(boys and girls alike) around the age of 14 to 15 and story goes.
The conversation was in Hokkien, a predominant dialect of Penang..(please forgive me for using some profanity that i feel is inevitable to bring out the gist of this story i am about to share)
As usual i always go early to wait for my eldest son to picking him up from school, habitually there is one eatery that i would frequent as to while away my time whilst waiting for my wonderful son.
As i was sitting down, sipping my "kopi o ice" with another parent, i heard this coming from a teen boy saying something in Hokkien to a girl in the same group, " Har me lan Cheu lu ai? " (what kind of penis you want?), then the girl shot back at the guy, " Lu a lan cheu a pi wa a boy friend, ho lieu meh?" ( can your penis be better than that of my boy friend's?"
Oblivious to the surrounding and even my presence ( i was just the next table away), the teen boy stuck out his middle finger and brandishing it in the air and said this to the girl again, " if lu hor wa kan, then lu to chai wa a lan chieu to hor lieu, ok boh?" ( if you let me fuck you then you know how good my penis is, can or not?"
Not feeling sheepish at all, again the girl hollered back to the guy this," sorry sorry, lu ki choz ban lah, wa hor wa a boyfriend kan, pun boh hor lu kan,"(sorry sorry, you can dream on, i can only let my boyfriend fuck me, definately not you." laughter then burst out from the girls' camp.
After hearing this sensational conversation, seriously i felt so sad for the teens, could it be their naiveniess ,could it be that they mix with the wrong company and the parents are ignorant about it or could it be that their parents just dont bother, i really dont know ?
Dont know why today i just posted two entries, who says we have got nothing to blog about ha?
P/S : Where is the love ?
With technology these days, children grow up much much faster, being exposed to all things that adults are usually exposed to.
ReplyDeleteIF only ALL parents of this world work together to tackle social ills, this problem will continue to remain.
*faint* I'm speechless but seriusly, I had a good laugh at the convo.
ReplyDelete*sigh* what to do..the internet age. Kids nowadays can find anything and everything thru the net
ReplyDeleteA 12 year old kid that i know posting four letter words about her teacher in her MSN&FB. When the parent know..she even blocked the parents from "viewing" her.

ReplyDeleteTeenagers aren't feeling shy about sex anymore like we do when we were teenager. Blame the fast growing technology!
ReplyDeleteSadly, most parents nowadays "spare the rod and spoil the child".
ReplyDelete+Ant+
holy cow! what happen to manners...?!?!??! i dont hear these when i was in school those days.
ReplyDeleteOMG I am so speechless. Kid thesedays are so different to the extent of being crude!!
ReplyDeleteteenagers nowadays very can lo.... but still lose to the grandmas selling vegetable at the wet market in Kuching.sometimes,or once a quarter moon, i drops by this Satok wet market to buy some vege and at the same time, listens to the very very salty war of words lashed out at each other - all grandmas.it's like the "liew shan chia" singing dirty words at each other.we younger ones dare not raise a single word becoz they were so "good",...hahaha.we just sat there and listen and laughed.anyway, its natural lah, those matured babes after so many years of experiences, probably some already got 7th or 8th dan to their accolade.
ReplyDeleteGosh, the languages that comes out from teenager's mouth!
ReplyDeleteI think lacked of parenting guidance and time spent with the children are the result of this.
wah beh hiao kong Hokkien... haha
ReplyDeleteI do agree that with todays existing technology... children do grow up super fast and some times I do get surprise with the topic of their conversation.
14 and 15 years old, in my time we still talk about sneaking out of school, games, comic book, hahahaha
whoa, really great issue, well i am still nineteen but i know the essence of being a teenager..
ReplyDeleteas the industrialization happens in this world we should also expect that most of us will grom up, but then again it will answer to huge questions, growing up knowing our limitations and ofcourse we can grow up being liberated but that remains to be in control. Parents has something to do with his.. really serious matter!
the values are truly missing..who to blame - the parents, education, bad company, internet, 'garment' ...etc??
ReplyDelete*faint* The kids may think they are very smart and "in" to talk like that *shake head*
ReplyDeleteHi Eugene, Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope you return often.
ReplyDeleteI am not surprised hearing teens talk like they did in your post.... Kids today are forced to grow up so much faster than years ago. It's the 'things' which they see out there--from a young age. Look at the movies and TV shows and the biggest culprit, the internet. Look at the celebrities and their action. There is just no morals at all anymore. Really sad--and scary!
Thanks again.
Betsy
kids nowadays are more open to sexual talk.
ReplyDeleteGosh... how pathetic to hear this conversation from the teens. Honestly, the parents should be responsible for not spending enough quality time in cultivating their kids (or perhaps the parents also have "polluted minds")... :(
ReplyDeleteThis just shows the state of decadence in our society... Watch your kids closely and discretely...
ReplyDeletehahahhahaa....tat is when sex education comes in...they havent got a clue

this conversation reminded me of a youtube video clip where the girl fought another over a boy.. the way they shouted also like profanities.. i guess we r still adapting to the nowadays teens.. they are more "IN" than us anytime..
ReplyDeletebtw wonder whether she has "tried" it or not..
naughty kids.
ReplyDeleteI bet the parents themselves talk like that...
ReplyDeleteSo we parents have to be more alert. It might sound funny but the impact and damage is quite severe!:(
ReplyDeletehmm... dont know how to comment.. =.="
ReplyDeletebut.. ahaha, i dun understand the hokkien part AT ALL..
ahahaha, but i am hokkien lang..
My goodness. They may be thinking by using crude words they are more 'superior'. *chiak lat* tQ
ReplyDelete*jaw dropped* I'm speechless. Kids r much easier to handle when they r babies. I'm so not looking fwd to their teen yrs.
ReplyDeleteGosh these teens are so bold... they are naive in a stupid way, thinking they are damn smart, see if they dare to speak like that in front of their parents!
ReplyDeleteThat's the reason why, i always hold my wonderful sons to my heart and hold them with hands and always telling them that " I love you,"
ReplyDeletethanks guys for all the comment
Agreed with slavemon, kids r easy and good when there r babies/toddler compare to teen, sometime i do worry and think what will i(mother) be facing when my boys is growing to be teen ... But i m not looking forward !! seriously ...... Nowsday kids/teens is really hard to guide and teach , but parent do make a big important role !!!
ReplyDeleteyou guys have a great weekend and love ya
