Snickered upon.....................

Never really thought how sometimes people can be damn blunt and sarcastic beyond my comprehension, just dont get it.................

I took my wonderful eldest son Jovial for lunch after picking up from school last week, this son of mine is small built, his height belies his actual age by 2 to 3, he is 13 years old now. We sat down and ordered our "chicken rice" then there was this lady came to ask for the order of drinks, she took a look at my Jovial and said this," wa, your son looks handsome ho," cheekily i played up my antic and replied," sure ma, he looks like the father" then we had a few laughs.

As it was around 2.15 PM, not much of a crowd there in the coffee shop, and the lady walked towards us again, and asked," what school your son is from," i replied," Chung Hwa Secondary," then she asked incredulously," your son in secondary 1 ka? " i nodded.

At this point the real scarcasm unfolded, the lady suddenly commented," Chung Hwa Secondary, where got morning classes for Secondary 1 students?" i looked at her and said," there are 3 morning classes alloted for Secondary 1 students, 1 for the sport class, the other 2 for those who scored 5 As and above, and they call it "smart class" i didn't continue.

I could not believe what i heard from this lady when she commented about my son," So how come your son is in morning class, he doesn't look like a sportman to me." and i explained to her," my son is in the so called "smart class la," and what she said at this point infuriarated me," your son doesn't look so clever too" scarcastically she said, i was taken aback, amid my anger, i said this to her," actually my son is a child prodigy, he should have been in secondary 4,but i prefer him to stay in secondary 1."

I guess may be she got the impression that i dont look smart myself, therefore my son cannot be as smart as he is, WTF..................

Q)what is the worst scarcasm you have ever encountered about yourself?

P/S : To tackle a scarcasm is to ignore one.............................

What an insult, which you didn't deserve! You were too kind. I would've slammed the food on her face if she insulted me or mine like that!!

P/S And......you DO look smart and you ARE a very intelligent person. I'm pretty sure your son takes after you.

  15. Worst sarcasm ...?!

Hrm... my MIL used to compare me with my SIL, she's a master degree holder. One day when she was discussing about my SIL, who was pondering to quit her job and be a SAHM. My MIL claimed it's such a waste if my SIL left her job, then she looked at me and continued... unless if my SIL is someone like me, a nurse with only diploma qualification and little pay. Immediate my husband stepped out and exclaimed "she is actually aiming for a PhD", my MIL kept quite since then! Haha... that's my hero! ^-^
