I believe in Miracles, how about you?

I had the most shocking news just two days before CNY (Chinese New Year), my dear second sister sent me a text message that read something like this in short," Doctor told me there was no cure about my illness, the illness will attack my organs soon and i thank you for all that you have done for me"

I wept when i heard the news from my brother about my second sister's medical condition, but on that particular day, i could not be there to comfort her because i had got a flight to catch, the news of my dear sister's had in a way dampened by CNY's mood.

Soon i came back, and i was eager to meet up with my eldest sister and my second sister,so we decided to do lunch together on the 5th day of CNY. When i saw my second sister, i was wrenched with sudden sadness deep inside me but then again i didn't want to show it, how could I, a festive mood should not be dampened with negativity.

We talked briefly about the illness that inflicted her, about changing in bringing herself to a more positive side of life, i knew it was easier said than done. I talked to her about believing in MIRACLE, even sometimes it might seem so unfathomable and or just a wishful thinking but i told her personally i believe MIRACLE could happen.

I encouraged her to come with us(my oldest sister and myself) to church, to seek peace, to find serenity, to look out for assurance when our flesh has failed us to the brim.

To be frank, i never really could expect my second sister attending church, but i trusted the ONE ABOVE for the MIRACLE that i asked for.....................................

Indeed my second sister turned up in church the following Sunday, you might think this is too frivolous or too insignificant to term it as MIRACLE but as far as i am concerned, i witnessed a MIRACLE took place, and to be frank, i can only continue to pray for the mercy of THE ONE ABOVE.

P/S : When all things fail, that's when MIRACLEs appear

  5. Eugene,
There is a link on my blog, it's on the left sidebar, somewhere down the bottom. It's called I read NieNie. I believe coincidences happen for a reason. There must be a reason I've stumbled upon NieNie's blog yesterday and you writing this post today.
I hope your sister and everyone on your family find the courage to be strong. As much as anything, I think the abundance of love and support is what she can really do with now.
She'll be in my prayers XXX

  16. I hope I'm not being rude to doctors out there but I must say this "Don't believe in everything the doctors say. Believe in yourself. Believe in miracles". My mum had a similar diagnosis 6 years ago. Today, not only is she alive, she's perfectly well and healthy :-)
