Why are you doing this to me,,,,why why why.

I remember when i was in my primary 3,(many many years ago, i guess it was in 1977) my parents really did not have to worry about my school transportation, as far as i could recall, i used to wake up at 6.30 am taking public transport, after school dismissed, i would take public transport home too, if i were to have finished all my daily pocket money, a pact was then made amongst my buddies( pact meaning everybody had to finish the pocket money) , we would walk home.

Now,time has changed, the streets are not safe anymore, danger lurks in every and anywhere, i guess no parents would risk their children the way i was allowed to, and this is exactly my dilemma is.

It was all agreed upon when i checked with my lil one Marvell "after school care" that he is in that they would be able to send my Marvell home on the days that he has to stay back, so naturally we thought that everything was hence settled.

Today i had a rude shock, when i was told that the "after school care" would not be able to do that anymore, simply because the auntie driver claimed that she would only do it if it was convenient to her, logically speaking by declining to send my lil one back from school, means she is not convenient to do it.

I am furious about the turn of event, i am determined to make the best for my lil one, i bet there is something i can do about it.

Q) Can you feel my frustration as a parent?

P/S : I am in control.....................

  1. Yes Eugene. It is kind of dissapointing especially you have planned everything. Looks like doing it yourself will be better if time permits.

  8. bro.. i used to walk to school since i turned 12 yrs old for about 2km, but I don't think it's wise to that now.
My kid studied in a kindergarten just opposite my house and it's very convenient for my wife to pick him up. Not sure when he goes primary 1 later. :(

Until they become adult and can take care themselves…
This moment, parent can put down their burden ……right?
