It's Friday and let's Settle the Score

It was interesting enough for me to learn a thing or two from a woman's perspective towards man,in relation to my yesterday's posting about my lady friend's relationship problems.

It is kind of fair enough to sum up that in fact men are mostly egoistic(me included), but another question always intrigues me as far as a man's egoism is concerned. WHAT CAN A WOMAN DO ABOUT IT?

D0 women for one.

1)Just live with it, conceding to the fact that, what else can I do about it.
2)Ignore it, accepting the fact that , that's what makes her man The Man.
3)Trying to change her man....... but how?
4)Ultimate it.......you change or else............
5)To get ouside help..

Ok, it is Friday, so let us get to know each other better i mean not you and me,,, but male and female.

Let us hear what you think, may be in a way it will help us in our relationship with our loved ones.

P/S : If yesterday belongs to a woman, and tomorrow belongs to a man and today should belong to?

  1. Today belongs to me. Friday is a love-myself day. Let him be him. Else don't fall in love, walk away.

  2. No 1...learn to accept and live with it! Give and take - it works both ways, each will have to live with things about the other. Never try to change - you'll get frustrated...or ignore it - it will only get worse in your mind's eyes.

  3. Everyone has an ego, but to control that ego is another gift. With a man , a woman has learnt to put aside her ego. When both are egoistic, then , things won't work out like the lady with hubby ,right?

    1) Nothing wrong with just leaving with it. I marry my man for all his good and bad.

    2) I will not ignore it but if it gets out of hand, I will tell him in better times.

    3) If it is HARD even to change ourselves, why want to try to change HIM? I would not want to change that much as if I am not good enough.Lol.

    4) Never give an ULTIMATUM unless you are willing to loose HIM.

    5) Only if you want to safe the relationship and he agrees to it.

Honestly, I have no problem with men with egos. It is when it gets out of hand. Then, it is just BAD for everyone.

  4. Today belongs for both hubby and wifey...hehehe....

Both a man and a woman will need to compromise....to give and take....to make efforts to improvise and rekindle a loose relationship....with a sincere hope....and never stop believing.....

  6. Man and Woman got their own roles to play. I still stick to the basic principle where man goes to work and bring food home while woman takes care of the family.

  7. Marriage is not possession.
Marriage is to love him/her as he/she is...

Love is not to be selfish.

I think I can be a nun already.... hahaha

  8. LOL... wud a question to ask. This is my take, bro...

    1 Corinthians 13:1-8a and 13
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails....And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.

ps: God didn't give is the Bible for nothing eh? He probably knew that humans always gets themself with trouble, seeing Adam and Eve back then!

  9. I think would be Number 1 provided the man don't become too controlling. Coz i believe a marriage is for better and for worse. Each will have to adjust a bit.

  14. all i know is..if a man really loves the woman, he will do anything for her n will stand for her in anything.. n that means sometimes losing the ego / face.

win win situation is the best solution!

  17. Yes man do have their ego and what can a women do about it? I think the best thing to do is to acknowledge that ego of men, acknowledge doesnt mean you give in to it. There's just some things that men should really be doing and sometimes it doesnt make sense to a women as of why do men really need to do it. Men have an urge to prove to themselves how capable they are, they are men and thats what they do. The best that women can do in those situation is to support their men, and be the one who balance out men's ego. Women is very very important to men because without them we men tend to get lost in our own ego =X

  18. today should belong to the kids? :D man has egos, woman has dignity, both need to be respected i suppose and there should be a ground (Kids perhaps) that both can compromise for. :)

  20. Haha. I guess it is not easy to change a ego man. He will only change if something trashed his confidence in himself. Some girls can take that but not most of the girls. Modern city girls can stand on themselves now.

  21. @Superman...you can never change a man unless he's in diapers. You ask around and see, i bet almost all women will agree with me! LMAO.

  22. Women expect man to be fully committed and loyal when they've tied the knot. They expect men to keep their word at all times and be open to them about anything. It may be alright for a man to hug another woman as friends, for instance, but from a distance, the spouse may be watching discreetly.

If a man and a woman continuously can't accept each other's views, then something must be really wrong with the relationship and they have to seriously sit and have a heart-to-heart talk.

Whether a woman or a man, change is perceived to be necessary if they love their spouse; however, forcing themselves to change could possibly be very detrimental to not only the emotion, but the mental state and the relationship. Therefore, there must be give and take, understanding and tolerance at all times.

The bottom line - both men and women have their ideals to be fulfilled by their partners; they have their wishes, their wants, their needs. Ultimately, it is constant communication, patience, understanding and tolerance that wins the war.

Gee, do I make sense, or is it pure nonsense? Bloggers decide.

    Cheers. :)

  23. If I am to Ego...my wife will shoot me into pieces. :p But...well...I seldom have that problem though. Try to keep my composure all the time.

  24. Happy Monday bro and I have just cared for you. :)

  25. @Kev... if a man can do that, den women should be given equal rights to hug and kiss her male friend as well, and the man in question should not go berserk about it when she gets friendly and affectionate towards her male friends. No biggie, rite? If hubbies can do that, I'm all out for wives to be allowed to do that too.

If my husband allows that...I'd be sure to throw in some sexy clothes that shows my cleavage that leaves a lot to imagination as a good measure....Fair, rite? ^_^
