My lovely wife and her sweetie words..........

Yesterday being the Sunday and one of the not to be missed activities of my lovely wife's and mine on Sunday was to play tennis with another two good friends. We started about 5 pm and finished at about 7.30 pm.

We were already very tired when we finished playing and so my lovely wife and me headed for a simple dinner and a few drinks whilst my two wonderful children were at home playing "com, the word coined by my eldest, meaning computer game"

When we came back, my lovely wife straight away started doing her washing and some ironing, i knew she was just as tired as i was, quickly i stomped into action by helping her to complete all the chores, and as i was putting back the pillow covers, she came into the master room, jokingly she said this to me " i am the happiest woman in the whole wide world", probably she was pulling a fast one one me, but even as that, those words that she said to me jokingly were really so edifying and comforting.

I guess it is really no big deal helping our wifey to do the house chores, but sometime if a appreciation is shown, it will indeed be a nice boost for us.

You know i have many friends, and in so many instances, i have hardly heard them saying nice things about their spouses, instead most of the times, they would just rant about, how bad their spouses are, how ignorant, how outdated, how they cant keep up with them in so many areas. You know so far the worst comment i had heard form a friend is how he commented how fat and how unkempt his wife was as compared to him, and worst still the wife was there when such comment was uttered by her husband in the company of his friends.

It is always good to say good things about our spouses, to acknowledge their scarifices, to edify them and to appreciate them. I was happy, in fact very happy when i heard those words from my lovely wife even if she did it jokingly.

P/S : Words do come easy, out from the heart, the mouth speaks

  17. yes i think you need to say what you want to say and when you mean to say it, because otherwise the moment just passes you by....I didnt come up with this, it is something someone once said in a movie..which i think is very true...or else how the other person is going to know anything :)

  20. Actually, I think there's no better words that words that stroke the ego. And kind words meant so much to us when it's uttered by those who matter to us. Right? :)
