Oh, what a night

I dont know why, everytime when my wife has to go for dinner (work concerned), and follow with some entertainment, i just cant sleep well when she is not back by 11 PM.

Yesterday, i knew she had to go for another dinner cum entertainment outing, as usual after settling the children affairs, watched some tennis matches, continue my reading, putting my children to sleep, i got tired too, dozed off, it was only 10 PM.

Suddenly i hopped out from bed sensing something amiss, my wife was not back yet and it was already 11.09 PM, gave her a call, she said she was still in the club, and said she would be back by 12.oo midnight. Dragging my body to sleep again, but i just could not do it, no urge to sleep, all i wanted to do was to wait for her to come home safe and sound.

Tossed around the bed, woke up again, it was 11.30 pm, gave her the call again, she said she would be back by 12.00 midnight. Waited, half asleep, waited, half asleep, looking at the digital clock appeared on my astro decoder, it was 11.49 PM, and surely enough my wife came back before 12.00 midnight.

You know sometimes my wife laments that i should not stay awake to wait for her, she always assures me that she would be back according to the time she agrees, but dont know why i always cannot" fon sam " be assured, so everytime, if she goes out at night, i will sure wait up for her, and usually i will lose my whole night sleep after which.

Q)Am i being a little over concerned?

P/S : I care for someone i call my own

  1. It's natural to be worried. I worry too whenever my hubby have meeting till late at night. Not worry about fooling around but more to accidents on the road and crimes

  5. Awwww.....It's good for you to show ur care and "kan-chiong" to your wife...I'm sure she will be happy..

But it will be better if you could ensure her to know that it's not intend to "check" but to care. :)

  6. Hehe my hb wont call me at all, unless he can't handle the kids well, so he get too tired handling the kids who cry for mama. Anyway, I seldom go out alone at night nowadays.

  7. Hmmmm..it would be nice right, being concerned by someone.

Maybe i'm too independent, my hub never ask where i go and what time i will be back home, sometime he will sound asleep when i'm home. Unless i bring the two little one out with me, then he will call if i'm not back home at 10pm! hahahahha

You are such a sweet and caring husband.

  13. It is natural to be worried... But if I were to get called from myhusband so much asking what time I would be back even though after I told him.. I would sure get annoyed :P.

But yes he is concern I know, but trust your spouse.

  14. Aiyor...no need to be so possessive lah! Give her some time on her own to enjoy herself! Big enough to take care of herself! Bet when you go out drinking with friends, also stay out very late one! Hahahahaha!!!

  17. hubby never call me to check what time I'll be back but instead I will sms him what time roughly I will be back. I think informing the person waiting at home is important because waiting for someone can be very anxious. But when he is out, I will not wait for him but sleep soundly. hahah...
