My Son VS H1N1......

My lovely eldest son was down with fever starting yesterday, it hovered in the range of 37.6 to 38.2 'C, we worried sick, we checked on him to see any of the H1N1 signs could be evident, he had fever, feeeling lethargic, but he did not and still does not have sore throat (at the time of this writing). his lips had not dscolored to purplelish, so we decided to monitor for another 1 day, to see if the fever could subside by today.

So, today i advised him to skip school for a day, to save the trouble from being sent back half way. I really hope his fever can go away by today so that will ascertain the fact that it was only a normal fever and flu.

You know, when the MOH said that Malaysia was loosing grip on the H1NI pandemic, one should know that this aint child's play anymore, and looking at the death rate, i think it is far more alarming..

Q) if they say H1N1 is dangerous, would you say "touch wood ?"

P/S : Funny, sometimes we need a dreaded disease to remind us of the basic, like personal hygiene

  4. seems like the govt is playing down on H1N1. Though not deadly, it's highly contagious. Pay more attn to yr son, get him to take in more liquids and meanwhile, keep fingers and toes crossed.

  20. hi Eugene, take the antibiotics(as prescripted by dr)as usual but shorten the interval for fever medicine - meaning if the fever is to be taken 3 times(8hrs interval),take them as 6hrs interval.i had this experiences that if you wait for that 8 hrs interval, the fever might relapse again.at the moment, you just have to be - on guard & of coz,not a really good night sleep(as parents like us,hehe).he be well.my youngest boy just recovered from his fever(got damn worried)

  26. i've read that one of the symptoms of h1n1 is difficulty in breathing.

you know what, it's most likely just a common flu. It's so common that all 5 of us in the house has got it over the past one month, and recovered, thank God.

Chicken Soup and Lots of rest for the boy. Hope he gets well very soon.

  32. Practicing good personal hygiene is the best way to control the potential spread of variant AH1N1 influenza - also known as swine flu.

    How is your son now?

    Regards.
