Surprisingly, this friend said it was quite "reasonable bill" as far as her daughter phone bill is concerned, she divulged that some kids spend even more.
Please tell me for I am really lost here, probably you could say that I am still trapped in Flinstone's stone age era but seriously I was totally appalled at that kind of hand phone bill coming from a 1 years old girl and I am sure besides smartphone, probably she must be a real geek for having other gadgets as well.
Just wonder would you allow your children of age 14 burning such a phone bill?
P/S : If only money is that easy to make then how easy it is burned
RM 120? Wow, I myself also don't spend that much leh! :0
ReplyDeleteYup indeed RM120,,,
DeleteRM120 is my half year phone bill. I always tell my daughters, mummy and papa's money are hard earned money.
ReplyDeleteThat way may be they understand that every drop makes an ocean
DeleteYou are 14 years old and not earning a cent, so don't expect to spend lavishly using your parents hard-earned money - maybe that doesn't apply to that girl's parents but that amount of money is unacceptable in my family.
ReplyDeleteHandphone is allowed, don't misused it, okay...
You know, my friend is not that kind of rich but she allows that
DeleteThe Parent should give her a prepaid card and limit the amount. RM120.00 is just too much.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if they would do that for her,, cos if prepaid card, may be she needs to reload more and more
DeleteI don't even spend that much for my handphone bills! @.@
ReplyDeleteIni sudah lebih bang..what kind of big biz for a 14 year old gal?
ReplyDeleteThe funny thing is,the mother also not that kaya raya one but to molly coddle in such a manner, not good lah but I cannot tell her also, nanti dia kata saya ni, jelos jelos betul,,, biarlah
DeleteI will ground her if she spends so much on handphone!! I myself also use around RM30-50 only... hahaha..
ReplyDeletethat's too much!
ReplyDeleteCount our blessings. Thank goodness we do not spoil our kids like that. Some will buy the latest models for their children...everyone has an iPad... Gee! They must be so very rich. I would not be able to afford that (not even for myself).
ReplyDeleteYou can lah,, just monetize your blog,, cos I know it is getting very popular now,I mean you and your blog,,,
DeleteOh no! i definitely would not get my kids any handphone.
ReplyDeleteSometimes we have to Rose but before you do that,we need to guide them and share with them about wastage and the needs,,,,
DeleteMy wife gives home tuition to wealthy kids in KL. Averagely their handphone bills are between RM200-500 monthly! There is one Form 5 girl whose mum pasted the monthly expenses on her daughter on the fridge for all to see. They spend about RM2000 per month on that girl's tuition fees, mobile phone bill and school pocket money. Many kiasu kids could engage 2 tutors to teach the same Biology or Add Maths subjects. This is a shocking but common trend here.
ReplyDeleteSomething has gone wrong with many parents. They spoilt their kids rotten.
And my 15 years old boy has not got a handphone yet,,,,, will give one to him soon, now that he has learned that what is a "need" and what is" want"
DeleteShocking but unfortunately, that is what our world is becoming to ....
ReplyDeleteYa,what has the world become.....and we are lost
DeleteI own bill not even up to that amount..haha
ReplyDeleteMine too, only less than RM500
DeleteWill you believe me if I tell you that my mobile phone bill is only RM60 a year aka RM5 a month? I'm using prepaid and I top-up RM60 every year, subscribe to the 365-something-something and use it for a year! Frugal or not? ;)
ReplyDeleteSome people indulge their children so much to make up for the lack of time they have for them. And that is where the upbringing falters. Sadly, such things only reflect in a later stage when it is too late to correct.
