Well, the time of waiting, anticpating, heart pumping is all over now for me, my lovely wife and my wonderful Jovial, finally the result came out, ditto Jovial's UPSR result.
My wife sent me an text message this morning..."Jo 5As, 2Bs". and i know this result is not that much to shout about, giving the current situation of students chasing the Straight As syndrom, but as far as i am concerned, i am indeed very proud of Jovial.
You know coming from the Chinese primarily schools, with this result from Jovial, all i can say is he is the best.
I am proud of him because despite not going for any extra after class tuitions, he still managed to score that flying color result,as far as i am concerned again.
When i went to pick up from school this afternoon, i gave him a big hug and keep repeating myself to him that i was very very proud of him and he too felt my excitement and he reafffirmed himself that he managed to outdo many of his friends, who had been tuition class chasing one after another.
It has always been my duty as a father to my sons as to instill in them that they must be happy as a child or a boy to be able to do what a child would do, that's to play, to be happy and at the same time to enjoy thier studies, indeed my Jovial told me today that he has surpassed his own projection....
Looks like my Jovial aka Jim Carrey has made us proud and most importantly of all, he has made himself proud.
P/S : To you Jovial, i am very proud of you.
congratulation Jovial.

ReplyDeleteLooks like he made you really proud!
Of course he made your readers proud too :P. Despite not going for tuition classes and such, he has done very well.
My colleague's daughter who went for tuition classes for all subject got 5A's as well.
But honestly does it matter? Does A's matter? The first thing I hear parents ask their kids are "How many A's?" Putting question like that is like pressuring the kid.. "if you got no A's don't come home" aiyaks!
congrats!

ReplyDeleteYes, kudos to Jovial! Well done :-D
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Jovial. I never bother about the grades. It's just a piece of paper...and I have doubts about some of those who are examiners. I always tell my daughter - just pass but she always wants to excel...and may get disappointed in the process. No point like that!
ReplyDelete5As, 2Bs is very good. if my son gets that i would b delighted. well done to u n yr mrs n of coz yr kid
