Will Written............

It was finally signed, sealed and delivered. We have finally written a WILL after procrastinating for a long time now, we thought that it was necessary to do so,even though we don't have much but we still have some and we don't want our children to be in the lurch should anything happened to us.

I am really thankful that I have finally found an old friend who happens to be a very good insurance agent and  a will writer that I am comfortable in dealing with, she really took every single details into meticulous explanation to us and she even took the trouble to help us to explain all of our insurance policies and to my shocking revelation, we have so many "overlapping" insurance coverage.

When my friend asked me of whom would I appoint as our "trustee" or "estate custodian",without a single doubt, we appointed my wife's sister to assume that role,I guess she is one that we could wholeheartedly trust.

Now I can really heave a relief that we have got our lives so called "planned" and we shall then leave the rest to HIM lah.

Note: Have you written your WILL already? I guess it is important to do so, we might be gone but we just cannot let those that we love in "quandary"

  1. Talk regarding this for ages but yet make a move. Maybe because we could not get a right trustee.

  2. bro, i think you have made a brilliant decision of writing will for any unforseen future upon you. the most crucial part of the "Will" is the puntilious itemization.Like my father's Will that he managed to asked someone helped him when he was at the ward of Gleneagles Hospital-"4th Stage of Kidney Cancer ", but the Will is not very scrupulous.Therfore when my appointed lawyer probated the Will, i encountered some difficulty onto it. Nevertheless we manage to get the "Probate Certificate from High Court Of Penang" eventually.thk Lord for it.:-O

  5. Hi eugene, just like you we also have been procastinating too long, I am ashamed to say even more than a year. So end Dec we finally met up with a lawyer for discussion, still in drafting process, so cannot die yet.. hahahaha...

Good to hear you found someone to explain all the insurance stuff to you, but she's only in pg right?

  6. I have got the Will done a few years ago. I am thinking of writing personal letters to each of my kids, trustee & kids' guardian and put it inside the big envelope with the Will...those words from my heart which are not printed on the Will.

Somehow the Will only mentioned about tangible things, yet I wish end of the day my kids will realise the intangible values which are the true legacy my hubby and I can leave for them.

    1. If no Will is written,, your estate will be by Malaysian Law be split 50/50...one half is shared by your spouse, the other half can be 'contested" by your parents, siblings,,this is what I learned

    2. Eugene, sorry not exactly. If my parents are around they get 25%, my wife 25% and my children 50% without any contest at all. Siblings get nothing but only if I'm alone no wife, no parent, no child then my estate goes to my siblings as per the Law of Distribution.
