Before I sign off...............

Before I sign off for the weekend, I just want to share this and after which let us ponder how blessed we are and even sometimes we are lacking in many but we are still blessed.......

Sat down with a friend over coffee yesterday, as we were chatting away, he started complaining about how incompatible between his and his wife.(you know his wife is a typical housewife, very "kang cheong" about the academic achievement of their only son, her jobs are ferrying the son school and tuition and what not)

After much of his whining and complaining, I just felt that I could not stomach his complaints anymore then gingerly I said to him," Hey bro, how come last time I didn't hear you complain much about your wife, now that every time I sit down with you,you sound like "not so syiok" about her" then again he went blah blah blah blah,,,,,,,,,,,

You see this friend of mine used to be a hawker, not doing so well, at that time, the wife stuck with him through thick and thin. Along the way, he met some "tau kehs" and those "tau kehs" took him into their company,he stopped hawking and now money is not a problem for him.

I know this couple personally and I know that he is really doing very well in term of money but I said to him, he could have changed but he could not expect his wife to change in tandem with him. Got what I mean?

Have a great weekend and God bless

P/S : Remember those who stuck with you when you were down...

  1. I have a girl friend whom husband has just passed away. Each time she met me, she sure told me to appreciate my husband more. She said it was too late for her to know how to appreciate her husband, and I still have mine. We have to learn to appreciate our loved one. Life is short, too short for us to know it.

  11. I agree with suituapui's comment, money is the root of all evil. I always tell my husband, be thankful of what we have now. I don't need to be a rich tai-tai, I don't need tonne of designer bags, we just need more time to cherish each other....
