I must really share with you guys this,no matter how busy I am today, cos credit must be given to someone who were so nice to me and as I checked with many of my friends, 7 out of 10 said they would not have done what this couple of mother and daughter did for me yesterday.
I was so busy yesterday afternoon, running errands and I had to go to the bank to do a urgent transfer via the ATM and to bank in some checks. The bank was packed with customers, I was at the ATM,doing the transfer of fund and it was done,I headed into the bank hall to check if was truly done, confirmed it was transferred and then I headed back to the checks deposit machine area to deposit some cheks.
I was really kind of losing my focus running here and there in the bank and as I was queuing up to deposit the checks, a lady about mid forties and together with her daughter, giving me a gentle pat on my shoulder and as I looked back, she said in Hokkien.
She said," Just now you forgot to take your ATM card" I was still in a daze,I just said," you sure?" she handed me the ATM attached with a thin bunch of RM50 notes,I thanked her profusely.
I just could not recall that I did make the second transaction after the transfer of fund, all I knew was that I rushed into the banking hall to check with the officer to determine if the transfer had been duly debited to third party account.
After done with the checks depositing, I again checked my account balance and indeed without me knowing it,I did make the withdrawal of RM1000.
When I realized that I'd made that blunder,I went into the banking hall again, scouting for this couple of mother and daughter, wanted to thank them again for their honesty, too bad could not see them there.
So to you,(the mother and daughter),if you happen to read my blog, sincerely I want to say a big "thank you" to you for my almost lost of RM1000 if not for the people as honest you guys were and may the Good Lord bless you abundantly for your integrity and honesty.
I really hope to see them again,I believe I could cos Farlim is just a small place and if God's willing I will buy them a good lunch.
P/S : Now I know, sometimes it is good to be slow and steady
