Talk is Cheap............

How many times, have you experienced this some one says this," Hey, I call you tonight" " we shall meet up for coffee" and something in that nature but the next thing you know the call never comes, the coffee meet has never taken place.

As bloggers too, sometimes we might conveniently leave the comment such like this," wa,you come to Penang kan, never called me one, next time must call me,ok?" But do you really say it just for the sake of saying it or do we really mean it and i hate hypocracy.

A dear blogger friend of whom i have never met sent me an email on Sunday,(too bad i only got the message on Monday,i no open email during the weekend one) that she was here in Penang for three days,( yup, she was another blogger friend that i once i said this to her,"Come to Penang, must call me, we would meet up)

I was eager to meet up, a few arrangements made but last minute changes that hindered the meet ups and even to the last minute, i still could not make time for her and her family and i felt really really bad, called her a few times, extended my apologies and saying probably we could meet up the next time.................

And may be the good Lord knew the content of my heart, some how or rather, just today, i received a call from her. telling me that she had extended another day here in Penang, so immediately i told her i would reschedule my other appointments, grabbing every chance to meet with her.

I am glad i stayed true to my words and i hope i'd made this friend feel worthy of the friendship. Sometimes just to think about it, TALK is indeed cheap.

Question : Which blogger am i meeting up later?
Clue one : She is a no hold barred blogger, she writes what she really feels
Clue two : She has published some books
Clue three " her blog name contains a name from one heavenly being
Clue four : She is photo shy

P/S : Staying truth

  2. We tend to be too polite and not really mean the things we say when we comment.

I would rather people be honest than just say things to sound nice and polite in a comment.

Brutal honesty is the best :D

  5. Eugene,
very true ,we must mean what we say. otherwise better not to say it.if latter cannot fullfill our promise reputation also gone. I prefer people to be honest if cannot just say so , dont say for the sake of saying until it becomes a habit.like the malay saying ajar ajar ayam.I have kena so many times already. when I make the time, they say sorry la I got something on that day la, got this and that excuse.etc. bullshit!

  13. This sounds very familiar! Well, at least give a call or a text if we cannot turn up for a meeting which have been planned, I guess this way is better.

  19. Mee to hate 'cakap kosong'. I have a friend who always 'cakap kosong', and promise to meet but in the end, on that day she always do something else. I don't think she was forgotten about it, because she always did that to others too. Like you said, Mr eugene, talk is cheap..
