My wife VS a long long weekend........

We had a rather long weekend over the week, it was something that i was longing for at least to spend some quality time i'd wished to spend with my lovely wife, because her birthday was drawing near, i thought i could do something for her as a run up to her real BIG DAY, instead...

On the hindsight, i could not believe that for the five continuous holidays spent, none was spent to be close to my lovely wife one on one. It was time given to the children and their friends, which we both enjoyed, it was time spent playing tennis with friends.(that's what we craved for as well), it was long hours spent cleaning up a very close friend's house, as a gesture to giving him a surprise when he came back from his hometown, it was time spent drinking with friends who managed to celebrate my wife's early birthday, but there was no time spent hugging, kissing or even intimating for the two of us. sigh........................

Was it an excuse or the lack of planning on my side, or was it because i did not take it too seriously to put my thoughts into practise, i really dont know, now that the working day has resumed, and the loss of desired good time cannot be recoup, i guess i just had to do something nice from today untill her birthday that is going to fall on this coming Sunday.

Q) Please share with me this, i intend to shower my wife with bouquet of flowers, would you prefer to see the flowers be sent to your office or to be handed over personally by your spouse? If you chose the former, would you mind even if it is sent like two days before your real birthday?

P/S: I love you just the way you are

  7. Send to the office.

If you wanna send to the house, do it on the day itself.

Or maybe if you should like to do candle light dinner at some restaurant on the day itself and suddenly pop up with a bunch of flowers for her at the restaurant.

  11. I would prefer it if it was sent to me personally by hubby on THE day. Office is nice for showing off of course but personally with a hug and a smooch is still best. Office one delivered by flower shop, got no hug and kiss mah. ;)

  22. The answer of course is send the flowers to her office by yourself!!! Can you imagine how sweet is that? Some more can make her colleagues jealous on her! LOL (Joking). And also remember after give the flowers to her bring her out for dinner. Two of you only no kids okay ^^" (find someone to take care your kids for two hours)! At least you can spend quality time with your wife. During the dinner, hold her hand and give her as much as kiss you can and tell her how much you love her!!!! I am sure she sure "Lum Sei" =)

  23. Wah Eugene, next time plan in advance, by at least 2 weeks, that's what I do.

I'm not into flowers so can't advice you there but maybe you could personally hand deliver the flowers to her office eh and then do a quick lunch followed by a romantic dinner at night :)
