Memories revisited

Not sure about you, as for me nothing can come close to the 80s' music. Artists like Rick Ashtley, Duran Duran, David Bowie, Peter Gabriel, Shaking Stevens, Queen, Tears for Fears, Culture Club, Prince, Communards, Van Halens, Bon Jovi, Depache Mode,Spandau Ballet, Tina Tuner, Fleetwood Mac, Blondie, Kajagoogoo, Paul Young, Bananarama, Johnny Hates Jazz, Wet Wet Wet, Thomspon Twins and many many more.

Depsite the fact that i hailed from Chinese school since primary one, i never knew why i could stuck to English songs so dearly especially artist from British, back in the 80s, the show Top of the Pops was my favourite programm. Most of my days after coming back from school were comsummed by the music of the 80s.

Just the other day, i was so ecstatic when an old friend of mine lent me a few CDs from the songs of the 80s, man i could not stop listening to the songs and singing along with them.

It is so nice, once a while when when are taken back to the good old days, memories that once gave us joy, laughter, and events that are so synonymous to that era of our lives.

P/S, Sweet dreams are made of this, who am i to disagree.......

  1. yes, i love the 80s songs too.. songs of today is kind of complicated and i cant sing-along with them as i could with the songs in the 70s or 80s... its the same with the youngsters, they couldnt sing songs belonging to the 60s-80s.. too simple for them, perhaps?

  3. I am a huge fan of 80s music and didn't even realize it until recently...

And I agree with reanaclaire, it is much more difficult to sing along to songs that come out now [though I'm a youngster and I can sing along with many older songs ;)]
