Into the jungle, we savored.....

It was all prearranged by my wife's collegues to have a durian buffet in one of the durian orhcards in Teluk Kumbar,Penang.

The cost was only RM15 per pax, buffet line, starter rambutan, main course durian, dessert, durian and more durians.

It was truly my first experience "eating durians" in the jungle and i can testify that it was truly an experience.

It was also a first experience for my boys to be in the jungle, eating the durian, i hope they would fall in love with Nature than Computer, sigh.........

One of the surprises was,,, the orgainizer even prepared the "Rhino cooling water" to wash away the durian heat........i was caught drinking the "Rhino",remember "Rhino water" ka?

.It was also a first trip for my boys to the durian orchard,,,,i really hope they would fall in love with nature, then computer,,,,,,,,,sigh
This is the "three house aka watch tower" for the owner to keep watch over his durians and other produces.
The wheelbarrowfull of durians readly to be wheeled out to be served.

The gang of durian lovers, beckoned by the durians and lush greenery at the background, simply awesome.

It was all there but it was not all there that we could eat, too much, too full......but no regret.

The owner of the orchard and his son..........sometimes kampung folks are nice..

P/S : Durians all the way...............

  1. I haven't eaten durians in ages. I don't think I could stomach eating more than 2 seeds :)

  6. Interesting. I have not seen or went to any durian orchard in Sarawak. Probably we don't have that kind of business here as almost everybody has at least one durian tree in Sarawak, back in kampung. Heheh!

Furthermore, I cannot eat a lot of durian. My stomach won't take it. Maybe RM15 is not worth for me. HEhehe!

  7. This is more genuine RM15 eat-all-u-can than those held in shopping complexes. Wow very thoughtful, typical Penang lang to supply Rhino water. Luckily the Rhino water not squeezed from your son's rhino T shirt haha.

  15. I still have a box of durian in my fridge, which smelt awful to my hubb and he urges me to finish them. No chance to eat durian in its natural environment. Only can eat in the kitchen as hubb forbids durian in any other place of the house.
